The Poughkeepsie killer, whose original name is Kendall Francois was known to slay not one but 8 women within a period of just two years. His main target for the killing was the sex workers. After facing conviction and receiving a sentence, he was kept at the Attica Correctional Facility for a short time and was then transferred to the Wende Correctional Facility. After a few months of his transfer, he died in 2014. His trial took place in 2000 and it was revealed that had tested positive for HIV back in 1995. However, the doctors do not relate HIV being the cause of his death. During his trial in 2000, the judge sentenced him to life in prison without the probable possibility of parole.
He lost his life in the second correctional facility at the age of just 43 where the doctors declared his death related to some kind of disease that occurred because of AIDS.

Background
He was born in Poughkeepsie and used to play football at Arlington High school during his early years. Although he had the perfect stature to become a footballer, he chose to join the US army after graduating in the year 1989. He successfully graduated from Basic training in 1990 and came back to his hometown to again study at Duchess County Community College three years later. He took a liberal art major with continued with his work till 1998. By then he was already working as a hall and detention monitor at Arlington Middle school. He worked there for two years, in 1996 and 1997, and during his term, the other teachers noticed his unusual behavior. He would sometimes crack inappropriate sexual jokes with the female students and would also touch their hair.
