Stranger Things Cast Skipped Emmys 2022

Well, here's a plot twist to tonight's Emmys: the now-grown-up kids from Stranger Things ended up not walking the red carpet or attending the show so far.

Actors Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, and Gaten Matarazzo were missing from the red carpet this evening.

Sink, notably, was at the Toronto International Film Festival with Taylor Swift on Sept. 9 and on her own Sept. 11.

The show's teens and adults—Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, David Harbour, and Maya Hawke—weren't spotted there either. Dyer was notably photographed at New York Fashion Week.

Stranger Things is nominated for 13 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series. The cast's choice to skip the show may indicate they didn't believe they were frontrunners in their categories,

and they additionally had other commitments this week, whether it was at New York Fashion Week (Dyer), TIFF (Sink), or promoting other projects.

The Stranger Things crew is preparing for the 5th & final season, which the writing team has revealed will contain 8 episodes or so a recent tweet from the show's writers seems to confirm.
