'Come From Away' 9/11
Anniversary

Every year the Broadway musical Come From Away helps with more than thousands of meal boxes to honor September 11 and support food banks across the city along with volunteering performances.

Come From Away: The Legacy of giving back - The show Come From Away has always believed in giving back to the community.

From their debut workshop at Sheridan College, where money was raised to help animal shelters, to the 9/11 tribute.

In 2015, when the show's first preview happened, it was just hours before a coordinated terrorist attack that killed over 130 people.

It made the creators wonder what they did.

Since then, she believed in not putting on the show but also valuing what it says, which is always to remember more people want to do than harm.

There was so much in the storytelling that led to helping as much as possible.
